Text Box:              Whether you are looking to purchase a newly restored piano, or to have your own cherished vintage piano refurbished inside and out, you can depend on the pride and craftsmanship of Capital Piano services.  Over three generations of skilled artisans.  We guarantee a magnificent instrument that will give you a lifetime of joy and happiness.  Many hours of artisanship go into the restoration process to ensure superior excellence.   Capital Piano Services has been a family business for over 35 years.  In 1976, second generation Joe Washek, at age 27, decided to migrate from Columbus, to Lancaster and embrace an opportunity to start his own restoration shop.  Since his youth, Joe was fond of all types of musical instruments and played most stringed instruments quite well.   This musical interest attracted him to pianos and player pianos. From 1976 to 1994, Joe worked out of a store on East Main St. in Lancaster, Oh repairing and selling pianos.  In addition, he tuned upright and grand pianos in homes.  In the early 1990's, Joe purchased property in Lancaster, Ohio as a dream home spot.  During the summer months he constructed a home and built a restoration shop.     Third generation, Eric Washek, Joe’s son, began following his father's footsteps in the piano restoration business. Now he is working full time in the family business, mastering the craftsmanship passed through the generations.  Lord willing, the Washek family will carry on the tradition of bringing back the beauty of vintage pianos.
